Feather and Fan Top pattern - FREE on Ravelry!

Hello folks-

I just published my very first free garment pattern on Ravelry...do go check it out.  Here's my design:

Top-down, in-the-round, seamless...all my favorite characteristics!  And it has a beautiful, classic lacy design and uses less than 700 yards of DK weight yarn for size small!  Did I mention FREE?  If that sounds good to you, go take a look.

Please note, this IS an intermediate design, and is offered in sizes small to medium only.  It can be enlarged (or made smaller) by changing the gauge of your pattern reps.  Tips are given throughout.

Enjoy! And be sure to drop me a line on Ravelry if you have any questions.

Hat Patterns

I've been remiss in posting here, but I have added a couple of patterns to Ravelry. Both patterns are available free, as pdf downloads.

The Bonita Hat is a slightly poufy hat made with NaturallyCaron Country yarn.

The Nora Hat was designed for my grandaughter, made with Bernat Soft Boucle. Very good for keeping those little ears warm!

KEYHOLE SCARF

This scarf was inspired by a vintage scarf that I used to own. It is easy and quick, warm and soft. Best of all (and unlike longer scarves), it can be tucked into a bag or jacket pocket when not needed.

SUPPLIES:
1 skein Bernat Soft Boucle (actually uses much less than a full skein)Size J crochet hook

GAUGE: not important
Note: Chain 2 at beginning of rows does not count as hdc.

Chain 100 loosely.

Row 1: Work hdc in 3rd chain from hook and in next 17 ch (18 hdc); work sc in next 8 ch; hdc across until last 26 ch; sc in next 8 ch, hdc in nect 18 ch. Ch 2, turn.

Rows 2 & 3: Working in back loop only, follow established pattern across (hdc in hdc, sc in sc). Ch 2, turn.

Row 4: Working in back loop only, hdc in next 18 hdc; chain 8 and skip the 8 sc; resume working in established pattern to end. Ch 2, turn.

Row 5: Working in back loop only, follow established pattern until you reach the 10 ch. Work 1 sc in each ch; resume pattern to end. Ch 2, turn.

Rows 6 & 7: Repeat Rows 2 & 3.

End off and weave in ends.

ROUND 2: Ch 4, [(dc, ch 2, dc) in next space, ch 1] around, join as above.
ROUND 3: Ch 5, (dc in next space, ch 2) around, join as above.
ROUND 4: Ch 5, [(dc in next space, ch 2) 2 times, (dc, ch2, dc) in next space)] around, join as above.
ROUNDs 5-8: Repeat Round 3.
